Prof. John Donnie A. Ramos, Ph.D., was a recipient of the Prize for Young Scientist in the Philippines from The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) in 2010, and the Outstanding Young Scientist Award in Molecular Biology/ Immunology from the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) in 2005. Dr. Ramos was appointed as the dean of the UST-College of Science from 2013-2019.  He was elected as the president Biology Teachers Association (BIOTA) of the Philippines (2019-2021), and the president of the Philippine Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PSBMB) from 2014-2015.  Dr. Ramos is an international assessor of the AUN-QA and a member of the CHEd Technical Panel for Biology and Molecular Biology. His research on molecular allergology and immunology has published more than 50 peer-reviewed ISI/Scopus-indexed scientific papers. Dr. Ramos received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Molecular Biology from the National University of Singapore as a research scholar. Currently, he holds a rank of full professor in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Immunology at the University of Santo Tomas.
